A modern approach to a doggy daycare and boarding experience. We promise to offer a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for your pup.
We offer an open concept for daytime play with extended out-of-kennel stays every day. Dogs are out playing for a minimum of 80% of the day to ensure they are stimulated physically and mentally all day. It is a fun, activity-filled, welcoming and supervised environment where dogs can camp out with their canine companions.
For extended stays and boarding, we don’t just house your dog. Camp Wag. ensures your pup is happy, active, and well-adjusted while you are away. Whether it is tummy scratches on the couch or a game of fetch outside, we will ensure your pup feels right at home. Wag. has sectioned spaces; partitioned to ensure the safety of all dogs. Our staff is experienced to split up groups if necessary to ensure specific pups play in appropriate areas. Dogs will be placed based on breed, size, temperament, personality traits, energy level and (dis)abilities. This ensures that each dog has the capacity to grow, learn, play and get the stimulation they need to successfully navigate their environment(s) in and out of Wag.
The Building
Wag is made of two shop bays and a fenced outdoor area that is over 2000 square feet. The cool, smooth cement floors ensure that the dogs can cool off and run around safely without burning their paw pads. Inside and outside are filled with couches, play structures, and so much more to keep the dogs stimulated throughout the day.
The building is monitored with cameras equipped with temperature, motion and sound detection to ensure the safety of your pet during their stay at Wag.
5 Benefits of Doggy Daycare:
Safe Socialization
if your pup is an only child, doesn’t have many dog friends, or has poor recall opportunities to socialize with other dogs may be limited
daycare for dogs provides a safe and controlled environment for your dog to play with other dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities
dog parents that have a dog suffer from separation anxiety will find safe socialization particularly effective in decreasing stress, crying, howling, incessant licking, and chewing
Mental Stimulation
I don’t know about you, but I know that if I am not kept mentally engaged and stimulated throughout the day, I start developing ineffective and even negative behaviours
mental stimulation is just as, if not more important than physical
Physical exercise
less active lifestyles can be damaging to both bodies and mind
dogs who spend a lot of time alone can learn to adapt to this slow-paced routine, but by limiting their physical and mental activity, they could be prone to weight issues, mobility issues, overeating, and poor digestion
we guarantee your pup will have all the fun, and get all the exercise they need after a day at Wag.
Consistent Routine
consistent routines and structure are important for dogs, just like they are for kids
daycare can facilitate structure throughout the day that is more consistent with their preferred routines at home
structuring their daily activities can help overly excited dogs pace themselves
dogs with limited mobility, senior pets, and even puppies can overdo it without realizing the consequences
Decreases your stress
dog daycare provides an opportunity for you to do what you need to do in a day, without worrying about your pup- let’s be honest - life is busy! Let us help keep your dog busy and engaged in a safe environment
sometimes, you just need a break! There is no shame in asking for help when you need it. I am a new mom and not hearing that bell ring at the door when I’m trying to put my son down for a nap can be a nice break sometimes!
Wag will provide peace of mind, knowing you have trained staff who will ensure your pup is physically and mentally engaged, learns new skills, is safe and secure and is socialized with other dogs of all types… and it helps when you do not have to worry about what you may be coming home to after a long day of work…
